Here at Fresh Tracks, our favourite pastime ties in with our regenerative farming philosophy. On a snowboard, a fresh track is that first carve into untouched snow, leaving behind a trail to guide others. On our farm, our fresh track is in the soil, building resilience and microbial activity through farming practices that work hand in hand with ecology.
We set out with the goal of knowing how our meat was raised and where it came from so we could feed our family nutrient-dense, healthy food. That has now evolved into producing that same quality for our local community.
Located in Myalup, WA on 100 acres, we see ourselves as custodians of this patch of land, doing all we can to promote biodiversity and natural ecological processes while producing food. Several projects are underway to restore native bushland and wetlands, and we’ve planted over 4,000 trees so far, with plans to keep going.

Art has become another way we connect with and celebrate this land. Through Astrid’s paintings, the colours, textures, and rhythms of the farm and its surrounding ecosystems find their way onto canvas. These works have become part of the farm’s story, capturing the beauty, biodiversity, and sense of place that regenerative agriculture helps to restore.
We place a strong emphasis on being farmers of soil. No chemicals, pesticides, or synthetic fertilisers are used on our pastures. Instead, we rotationally graze our livestock so that only one section is grazed at a time while the rest rests and regenerates. This approach helps store carbon, increases plant biodiversity, and promotes healthy soil, all while giving our livestock a fresh salad bar each day and building natural parasite resistance.
We truly believe that regenerative agriculture can play a vital role in addressing the climate crisis. We may be small, but together with our community, we hope to inspire a movement where this way of farming and producing food becomes the norm.
